Pt Bhimsen Joshi
In Jan 2011, Hindustani Sangeeth World lost its PithaMahar Pt Bhimsen Joshi.
To me Shri Joshi was to Hindustani what Semmangudi Mama was to Carnatic Music.
A doyen in his field, Shri Joshi was conferred "Bharath Ratna" Award by the President of India who came to his residence.
