"KANNAMMA?"

I think it was this desire of Yashoda to see Krishna bedecked with all jewels as a girl baby that
Gets reflected in Maha kavi Bharathiyar's "KANNAMMA"…
I was fascinated by RRV's work- Yasoda's love & affection decorating the baby, Giving a Haaram in the Child's hand to
Engage him, the blank look on the Child Krishna's face- unmindful of all the jewels put on or having to stand naked,
& the best part- the child holding the Mother's thumb-feeling secured…
I have attempted this in the remake

Arumuga Othuvaar

Arumuga othuvaar, plunged into limelight last month, following the controvertial "Thevaaram Singing" at the Chithambaram Temple. These photogrphs of Othuvaar appeared in a Tamil Magazine. I attempted very quick brush work to capture his two poses using Poster colors.

Once again a Raja Ravi varma Remake!

Inspired by a RRV exhibition recently held in Pune, I have attempted this one.

( I also ordered for 10 prints of certain Paintings that I did not have & hope to receive them

by Courier in a weeks time. That could trigger a few more).
